Oscar class destroyer Developed from the Winters class, the Oscar class made a major leap in displacement and a substantial improvement over Antara's already solid Great War era destroyers. It was the first in the navy to mount a dual purpose artillery and long range torpedoes. A common drawback to Antara's early post-GW destroyers were the lack of powerful power plants for it's destroyers, Oscar boasted only 35 knots during trials. Ships in Class Displacement - 1315 tonnes standard Speed - 35 knots Range - 5000nm at 14 knots Main battery - 4xI 127mm/45 Torpedoes - 2xIV 530mm Ships in Class Oscar - Sunk in surface action, 1342 Osbourne - Sunk during attack on Port Isla, 1342 Vickers - Scrapped, 1349 Allison - Sunk during attack on Port Isla, 1342 Levine - Torpedoed by submarine, 1346 Franco - Scrapped, 1349 Clayton - Scrapped, 1349 Velasquez - Sunk in surface action, 1343 |

Arabella class destroyer The Arabella class destroyers was developed from the previous Oscar destroyers. The notable improvement being the additional 127mm mount. The total length was increased to support the added weight as well as to support a newer engine room, which resolved the previous issue of speed, the Arabella class clocked in at an average of 37.8 knots. The limited firing arc of the #3 mount prompted several captains, not just on the Arabella class, to have it removed and replaced with 38mm autocannons guns, this became more popular as the war dragged on and Osoran airpower was noted. Main battery - 5x1 127mm/45 Torpedoes - 2x4 530mm Speed - 37.8 knots average Displacement - 1550 tonnes Non-camouflaged versions - https://imgur.com/a/GuSf5Tf Ships in class Arabella - Sunk in action, 1344 Emily - Sunk in action, 1344 Septam - Scrapped, 1350 Vera - Scrapped, 1350 Komaru - Sunk in action, 1344 Eastwood - Sunk in action, 1342 Runa - Sunk in action, 1344 Enzo - Sunk in action, 1344 |

The Evinheim Naval Treaty was a treaty by the major participants of the Great War to prevent an arms race by limiting naval construction. Background One of the terms of the Evinheim Concordat, which ended the Great War, was the halting of capital ship construction for ten years by the 'losing' side of the war, namely Wesmere and Saliam. The terms that related to naval affairs were emphasized to be temporary until a greater treaty could be negotiated to better decide the future the world's superpowers. This treaty would nullify those terms expressed by the Concordat, however if common ground could not be reached, the terms of the Concordat would remain in effect. The rapid buildup of Antaran naval power shortly before, during and after the Great War caught the attention of the other superpowers, and the so-called 'destruction' of the Wesmeric Navy at the hands of Antara and Siegmaria created a panic amongst the world leaders. Antara, Siegmaria and Desnia, all on good terms with one another and all massive naval powers, called for the conference to prevent a naval arms race against one another. Wesmere would be included in order to ratify the terms of the Concordat. Talks took place from 13 February to 29 April 1323. Negotiators Antara Morgan F. Reyes, Minister of the Navy (February) Nora M. Jacobs, Minister of the Navy (March) Siegmaria Otto Altenburg, Großfürst der Kriegsmarine (Grand leader of the Navy) Wesmere Sir Blake Relish, High Lord of the Navy Sir George Hayworth, Prime Minister Desnia Mikhail Sidorov, Minister of the Navy Signatories Antara Emperor William V Siegmaria Kaiser Heinrich von Friedeberg Wesmere King Neville III Desnia Prime Minister Nikolai Ruslanov Summary of terms Wesmere proposed to keep to the ten year break of capital construction (until 1333) so long as it was extended to all other signing nations. The parties to object were the Antarans, who were concerned about their vessels currently under construction. In light of this, Siegmaria put another idea on the table: current projects would be allowed to be completed provided they met certain tonnage and number requirements. Antara would be allowed to complete the three Empress Victoria battleships. Siegmaria would be allowed to construct the two Schardler class ships and one Sommer class and Wesmere would only be allowed to finish two of the three Insuperable class. Total capital ship tonnage (a vessel whose main armament was greater than 11"/280mm) was limited between signing nations. Limits were made on a per nation case and were as follows: Siegmaria : 540 000 tonnes Antara : 420 000 tonnes Wesmere : 240 000 tonnes Desnia : 180 000 tonnes All nations had colonial holdings and requirements for trade protection to various extents, and thus were all allowed large fleets based on their holdings and participation during the Great War. Wesmere and Saliam were among the most powerful combatants of the war, as Wesmere had lost the war and some of her holdings, the nation was severely punished. Antara gained many territories and the ability to operate in Aemore. Additionally, these capital needed to displace up to 35k tonnes standard with a maximum gun caliber of 18.1"/460mm. Navies were expected to modify their vessels under construction to fit the limits. After the ten year gap was passed capital ship production may continue with the same tonnage and gun caliber limits. Participating nations would be required to scrap vessels if they exceeded the limits, which was indeed what occurred, in large numbers following the signing of the treaty. Wesmere brought forward the proposal to allow for a single existing capital ship to be converted to an aircraft carrier and be ignored by the tonnage restrictions, with Antara making a counter proposal of four ships. It was eventually settled with two vessels for all nations. Antara would convert King James I and St Isaac and rename them to Carpathia and Carmilla. Siegmaria would convert Ortenberg and Rotenstein. Wesmere would convert Sagacious and Effulgent. After limits for capital ships had been agreed upon, discussion turned to large combatants, which included cruisers. Signing nations would not be allowed to construct any warships with a tonnage greater than 10k tonnes standard other than that already agreed upon previously. Siegmaria made the proposal to limit the total tonnage of cruiser type vessels, thereby defining a cruiser as a surface warship between 3000-10000 tonnes. There were further negotiations that separated the armament of cruisers, defining a light cruiser with a main battery smaller or equal to than 6"/155mm, with a heavy cruiser exceeding that. Heavy cruisers could not displace more than the total light cruiser tonnage. Total cruiser limits per nation were as follows: Siegmaria : 400 000 tonnes Antara : 340 000 tonnes Wesmere :180 000 tonnes Desnia : 120 000 tonnes As several nations wanted to experiment with large aircraft carriers, restrictions on total aircraft carrier tonnage after the definition of a carrier was defined as a vessel whose primary function is the launching of aircraft and has a dedicated flight deck that is at least half the vessel's length. Dedicated aircraft carriers were allowed to be built and converted from (excluding the previous conversions agreed upon earlier) 1332. Tonnage were as follows: Siegmaria : 200 000 tonnes Antara : 170 000 tonnes Wesmere :80 000 tonnes Desnia : 100 000 tonnes The treaty would remain in effect until 1343. |

Leo and Nightly class destroyers The Leo class, compared to the previous Jinora class , featured a revised gun and machinery layout, as well as a general change in the class's overall layout. Both torpedo launchers were placed on the same deck level which allowed for more compartment space space and made the main deck less crowded. The Leo class was also longer and had her displacement increase by 50 tonnes, bringing her to 1600 tonnes, which was pretty large for her time. Her beam became wider to correct the top heaviness of previous classes. The Nightly class followed in 1338 and were built to a larger tonnage, differing length, superstructure and torpedo layout, allowing for more powerful boilers for a faster speed. The Nightly subclass also mounted a different model of the 127mm/45 which were lighter. To counter top heaviness, her aft torpedo launchers were replaced with two triple launchers mounted on each side, and the reloads were landed. Both classes were considered solid warships and thus saw the most action, and in turn had the highest losses of any classes in the Antaran Navy during the WW , however in addition 66 Osoran , Siegmaric and Libeccian were sunk by members of both classes, also giving it the highest kill count in the Navy.
