Colosseum has been trying to get everybody to make their signatures smaller - that includes you Tristan. Also- you need a second map as to where your AU is in the world. |

I know AU is AU and in the end should be traeted like AU. But I have to admitt that I have a problem when someone just put a large landmass somewhere in the ocean. Especially when it will change the history of Columbus and his discovery of America. I mean he would have reached Antara first. This is not supposed to be offensive, I just want to tell you my first thoughts. |

Given its location wouldn't it have become a Spanish or Portuguese colony instead. Or heck, with that size she would probably have been carved up between multiple empires. In fact, she's larger than all the original North American colonies combined and arguably better placed to produce the goods the European empires wants so its certain they'd fight each other over it. You just killed off most of the interest in North American colonies and crippled the early history of the United States. Agrarian society in the tropics, probably heavy into sugar cane and cotton. No way are you going to abolish slavery unless someone makes you. She fights for the union yet secedes a few years later? Why? And how? Not to mention how did you become a part of the US to begin with? And why do you fight for the Union? If you do become part of the US you'll be the single largest state and a slave state to boot. Heck, you'd have enough clout in congress to force slavery onto the new western territories and kill any talk of banning slavery at all so there wouldn't be a civil war unless the Union decided to rise up. |
