A Place for vehicles from the mid 1990s sci-fi-series Seaquest DSV. For now I have laid my hand on two of Seaquest's auxillary vehicles: Miranda Research Sea Launch According to the internet the Sea Launch is 61 feet long (the base for this drawing), but comparing the docking hatch of the model with the life-action set it might be a bit larger, although the rest of the set seems to fit. It has a displacement of 1,123 tons, and can take a crew of two and 45 to 60 passenger up to a range of 12,000 mile or a depth of 20,000 feet at a max. speed of 48 knots Sea Crab The Sea Crab is a one man undersea construction and repair vehicle. At 17 feet length and 8,463 lbs displacement, it has a crush depth of 13,000 feet. Deep Ocean Transport The Deep Ocean Transport from the very first opening. Not very happy with the outcome. Had only images of the Monogram kit to work with, and no canon stats. So I tried to get the size from the kit's scale. Looks to smal to me. UEO Seaquest Finished so far, although I'm anything but happy with the EVA ports above and below the sea-deck. I also might add further details at a later time. |

Next I will try the Deep Ocean Transport (the first mini-sub shown ever on Seaquest DSV), and in the end maybe even the Seaquest.
Nice drawings - the Seaquest would be nice to see

Well, it seems that when I say "A" you should expect "B". Or does this look anything like the Deep Ocean Transport? Sneak preview |

I try not to make +1 posts, but this is awesome and takes me back. Oh man, that was twenty years ago wasn't it? |

Yes, twenty years. Two thirds of my life. And if i remember the in-universe timeline correct, the Seaquest would have been launched this year.

Replaced the sneak preview with a small update. Almost done with the general body and the pattern of shading. Btw, any idea how I could create Seaquest's unique camo? |
