I have done the Äran Before, this is the last attempt

By the end of WWII the navy hade four unfinished hulls of heavy Uppland-class cruisers on slipways. When peace broke out the work was halted and the hulls where just waiting for a decision of what to do with them was made. When the RSwN saw the american and Dutch conversion of conventional cruisers into guided missles units they decided to go the same way. American missiles where licensened and the ships where finished as CLGs in early 1960s carrying RIM-8 Talos and RIM-24 Tartar missiles aswell as the domestic RB-08 ASM/ SLCM.

I think that one Terrier Mk4 GMLS would be more plausible, like Italians did in Garibaldi Class or the Mk10 mod 0,1,3. Talos never offered for export, only Terrier was.

For 3D radar first SPS-26, then SPS-39 plus two SPG-55A. This was the "Garibaldi" AAW package. Sweden would use the Bofors 57mm M1960 instead of OTO Melara MMI.

I see a few problems with this design.......
- first of all, may I suggest the use of newer (beter) parts. for example, the boforst 57mm, 150mm/53, the WM eggs and the standard missile all have an more accurate version drawn now.
- you have 2 air search radars which do about the same, one british and one dutch. on the tall mast on the funnel you have IIRC another of WW2 vintage
- I have never seen any ship with more then 3 WM eggs (I am not even certain if I have ever seen one with 3) so 6 of them, in addition to 2 MRS-3 and an type 992 (duplicating the WM's director and targeting radar respectively)
- the Mk 11 GMLS was mostly coupled with the SPG-51, IIRC the SPG-60 was of later date.
- the Mk 11 magazine goes straigth trough the assembly room for the Talos. the 57mm's go straight trough the magazine, at the same time, unless your ship is VERY wide. I am not certain the Mk 12 would fit at all (take a look at belowdeck parts)
- RIM-8 Talos was not the winning option for the USN and was thus never exported. why would you use it here?
- the usage of the WM suggest this ship is 70's vintage, not 60's.
- the crane is a lot more modern then the rest of the ship.
- your description in text seems not too match the drawing. (you have for example no 3D radar, no type 983)

I is a very old drawing, it need a remake.

Thanks, even though I have my own partsheet for my AU (unfortunaly half of it was lost in a computer breakdown)

Terrier/ tartar combo might be a good chooise. With Tartar rails on the elevated side barbettes.

Much better than previous version.

-Tartar/Terrier/Standard RIM-66 all part of the same family, so probably yes, the SPG-51 can replace the SPG-55.
-Since you have side rail launchers, I think the Bofors 57mm could reduced to three, one front and two rear. Not sure if she could have five.
-There are newer designs of SPG directors and the LW-02 available, while perhaps the LW-02 can be lowered a bit.

Is it possible/ plausible to do so even in the early versions (ca 1960-65)?

The 57 twins and tartar launchers are sitting on the sites of the barbettes of the 105mm DP guns (see the Uppland class, which share the same hull as this ship)

Nope. Just as the range on the SPG-51 catches up the Terrier gets replaced with Standard-ER, and you have to wait until the NTU refits come along before you're close again.
