Back in 2007 a game came out called Steel Horizon. It was a turn based naval strategy game that took place during WW2. It was not a big game and only got like 2 out of 5 stars. I loved the game thought. You are give 3 different "super" ships to choose as your flagship to help your fleets fight against German, Japanese, and a mysterious force hell bent on destroying humanity. I loved the story line and the fact that you get to command all kinds of ships. Each ship has it's own strength and weakness like their real world counter parts.
However I must say that the art work for the 3 'super ships' are not that good.
The Battleship flagship looks over weight and top heavy.
The submarine looks ok but is to slow to move around the map (I can't find a picture of it online
The Destroyer just doesn't look appealing
So I decided to re-design the Battleship flagship as shown above and give it a more realistic feel
This is what I came up with
I used a already drawn Arizona from ALVANA, a few pieces from light cruiser by Bezobrazov and some parts sheets from the Shipbucket US Navy parts.
This is my first ship done on ship bucket. Any comments?
