This is a sci-fi / alternate history series, wherein an old four-piper U.S. destroyer trying to escape from the Japanese off Java in 1942 enters what her crew thinks is a squall, but is really a gateway to an alternate universe wherein humans never evolved, and the dominant species are a cat/giant lemur hybrid race and their sworn enemies, which are based off something akin to raptors. This is the IJN Amagi from that universe. Why the author rearmed her with 10-inch guns, I don't know, but as he never did an official drawing of her aside from one small silouhette, I was able to interpret her as I saw fit. Enjoy!

Nice!

Are those twin or triple turrets BTW?

One would think they could replace twin 16-inch with triple 10-inch, but there might be a problem with magazine space then.

The rough rule of thumb is you can do 2" in either direction, so you can have 2x16" occupy the same space as 3x14" as 4x12" so, no problem with 10" guns.

Likewise, 4x14" occupies the same space as 3x16" as 2x18".

A good example of this was the switching of the North Carolina class from a quad 14" design to a triple 16" one.

Cat people fiction. I just don't get the attraction...

I've already done the Walker, no need to do her.

Another "Destroyermen" fan! Yes, I saw Walker's been done, but I wasn't even planning on drawing her...just Amagi. How do you like the series?

I like it, great series. Haven't read the last book though.
