Its a great start! My only nitpick is the shading on the aft facing turrets should be reversed to fit in with the rest of the sahding. Other than that it is really good.

Welcome aboard. May i suggest that you make the rigging in a slightly lighter color than the color of the masts.
Also it seems that the ensign is upside down and reversed. I say that because the emblem on the left-bottom quarter of the flag, seems to belong (at leat to me) to belong on the upper-right quarter (next to the flag-pole as it were).

Good job! Just add some more rigging and maybe some more details (if available) and it's perfect.

A very good first post and an interesting ship as well. Nice to see more of these 19th century beauties among the Super-Kirov BBGs and stealth ships.

Thanks all, this was the first ship I drew I thought was worthy of posting here even though I have lurked for awhile.

@Rodondo im still strugeling with the shading on her, the 2 aft facing turrets are under overhangs so im not exactly sure where they should be shaded but ill endever to get them closer to right.

@Novice what color would you recomend using for Riging? I was trying for somthing close to hemp and im still not sure how well I did. As to the flag, well uhm thats proly cause it is backwards LOL, i did it when I pland to add somthing to the upper quarter (I still do im just not sure what yet)

@Ashley What Rigging would you sudjest adding? I atempted to draw in the sails (you realy dont want to see that disaster trust me) as to details if anyone has a better picture of Lazarev im more than willing to add them.

@Hood Belive it or not you were my insperation to start drawing in this style, and you can expect many more ships for the era up to 1905 or so out of me as thats the period the sim im in is covering.

I wish my first drawing had been so close to the gold standard. A few nitpicks as above, but generally quite well done.

I agree with the critique of the drawing, but also like to extend my warmest welcome in the the "ship builder" club at SB. Just correct those eenie teeny errors and you'll have a great first drawing there!

Bump for added details, and fixed the turret shading.

The shading under the overhangs are a bit excessive, they shouldn't be more than one or two pixels wide, three if it's very dark and you've used non-standard railings (The railings are one of SBs hallmarks)
But other than that it's a very very good start abd I hope we'll see more from you in the Real Design section of the board.
