The first class of ships that were built to carrying missiles were Dever class. Dever class destroyer was quite cramped, speed capabilities were limited to 26 knots when they had problems with the hull that could not stand the strain it had in the bow. the later ships in the class was extended by 7 meters and had a top speed risen to 29.5 knots without making changes to the machine! Of the upgraded version Haram built 35 vessels.
Haram sent all 35 ships to Vietnam to provide artillery support to U.S. forces, which they showed themselves to be really good at, with their missiles and 135mm twin cannon. in one of the artillery missions stood all 35 vessels up to provide artillery support as a large fleet, Dever class got the nickname "Strike one, strike two, strike ...!" by the Americans. The flagship during this operation was a ship of the Eagle-class cruiser, with its 280 mm and 155 mm frequently operated together with the USS New Jersey the same ship, she has operated together with under the Korean War.
