The Luedinghausen refitted as Command Cruiser. Complex communication installation, radars for air & sea-monitoring, 3"-aa, 5,5cm-aa. The aft 6"-singles are gone, here is a railsystem for more boats installed. The catapults are gone, replaced by offices and a great conference room above. Turret B is replaced by a 3"-aa-turret, due to weight reduction. The aft deck is now a landing deck for Weserflug VTOLs. Torpedoes are gone. Light aa are 4 3cm-quads only. For CIWS-use six 'Foehn'-launchers are installed. The overall weight remains the same but with the loss of one 11"-turret and the installation of all those radars, especially the radio-mast and the damn heavy 'Wuerzburg-Riese' the top weight is increased noticable. However, the Luedinghausen is no ship of the first line. It's a command cruiser now.
