Update to the X-Bow multi-purpose helicopter vessel. Note LPD is the only way I could think to class it for now, suggestions?

[ img ]
  • 1x 57mm Mk3
  • 4x Otobreda 12.7mm RWS
  • 1x 21cell RAM launcher
  • 2x 8 cell Mk41 vertical launchers (may replace with Mk56 modules and rework the VLS area slightly as such)
  • 8x NSM
  • 8x Medium sized (Puma etc) helicopters
  • 4x 12m RIBs with space in the stern for two more similar sized boats or modular containers (ramp/door not drawn yet)
  • Crew: ~250-275 + temporary(ish) accommodation for around 80-100

Today's abomination, a Damen Axe-Bow inspired PC

[ img ]
  • 1x Otobreda single 30mm
  • 6x Assorted 7.62mm and 12.7mm MGs
  • 1x Mistral launcher
  • Landing spot for a 5ton helicopter
  • Space for two 12m and two 10m RIBs
  • Crew: ~35 + temporary accommodation for 20

Starting to rework old designs as I've never really been happy with what I draw.

ugly bow, and the mast looks a bit on the light size if you want to place an good aa radar on it.... unless you are planning to use something similar to SPY radars on the structure.

Looks good Blackbuck, I like your designs. It gives me some inspiration to start some new AU ships. ;)

Still a WIP like.
  • Masts(s) reworked
  • 76mm SR replaced with a 127/64
  • Realized the hangar wasn't really big enough for AW101(s)
  • Tweaked a few other things
More to come at some point, regards. Mark.

Sweet. I love how you utilize unconventional bow designs.
