I now present the Hyundai HCS165 Class Crane Ship, AS Onslow. She can be seen carrying the Patrol Boats AS Woolgoolga, AS Devonport, AS Parsilla Bay and AS Beerwah to take them on station in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea following UN sanctions against Iran for breaching the embargo with Russia. AS Onslow will stay on station with the 4 Patrol Boats acting as a mother ship and will then, on completion of their tour return them to Australia.

She will soon be joined by her sister ship AS Otway which is currently undergoing an extended maintenance period in the Captain Cook Dry Dock in Sydney.

Excellent ships and drawings as always, but one mistake.

One of the images has written on the title block in the upper right as DDG-10 AS Melbourne, when the pennant number on the bow, name on the stern, and the coat of arms all indicate DDG-11 AS Perth.

The Pelican Class Aviation Training Ship, AS Pelican is assigned to COMAUSNAVAIR (Commander Australian Navy Aviation). Her primary role is to train aviators and flight deck crews, but she can also be used to train Tacan maintainers and (when module fitted) can be used as a Torpedo Recovery Vessel.

AS Adelaide (L03) is the second ship of the Canberra Class - Landing Dock Aviation. The lead ship is AS Canberra (L02) which is currently undergoing an extended planned maintenance period and upgrade at Fleet Base East. Both ships are home-ported at Fleet Base East in Sydney and will regularly operate out of Townsville, the location of Lavarack Barracks, home of the Australian Army's 3rd Brigade. In addition to being located in North Queensland (which is close to Asia and the Pacific Islands), one of the 3rd Brigade's infantry battalions, the 2nd Battalion (Australian Regiment (2 AR)) was selected to become the Army's specialist amphibious infantry battalion.

Aircraft embarked include the Lockheed Martin F-35B VSTOL (from 805 Squadron in Nowra NSW), Sikorsky HH-60H "Support Hawk" (from 808 Squadron in Nowra NSW), Sikorsky MH-60R "Seahawk" (from 725 Squadron in Nowra NSW) and the Boeing CH-47D and CH-47F "Chinook" (5 Aviation Regiment, AAF Base Townsville QLD).

The class also embarked 4 LCM-1E amphibious mechanised landing craft.
