Well, you know how to actually draw a very realistic and plausible-looking frigate, that's for sure.

SH-2F Seasprite ASW helicopters will decommission between 2013 to 2016. Ayutthaya buy 12 S-70B Seahawk to replace between 2014 to 2018.(4 for multipurpose frigates, 4 for new ASW frigates and 4 for Aircraft Carrier) Chaiya Class support S-70B but Lavapura Class can't. so 2 SH-2F Seasprite will big upgrade and use again until 2028

That's what both Poland and New Zealand are doing. The SH-2 isn't a bad helicopter, Kaman knew what they were doing and how to make those suckers last.

It's enough to make a huge difference, you have much better LOS for that director now.

klagldsf, i have some problem about Lavapura Class.

SM-1MR will expire on 2020 but this ship decommission plan about 2028. ok in 2020 ayutthaya will have 7-8 frigates install ESSM (4 for multipurpose frigates, 4 for new ASW frigates) but how can i do with Lavapura Class. buy second hand SM-1MR from taiwan ????

It depends on the internal construction of the ship. You can theoretically pull it out and swap in Mk 48 or Mk 56 ESSM launchers, but on the OHPs they had to simply plate over the hole because internal girders wouldn't allow for anything else in there. On the other hand, Mk 48 can be installed on top of that plated-over hole if you really need to (the main reason why we haven't done this on the OHPs is budgetary, and the missions we deploy them on don't really call for an organic anti-air capability beyond shoulder-fired missiles anyway). The Australians have simply found other places to mount ESSM-length Mk 41 on their OHPs too. The final option would be to simply retire the ships early - it's only an 8 year difference, after all.

Oh, and I just remembered, I think all of the nations that still use Mk 13 aside from Poland (or at the very least Australia and Taiwan) have upgraded their Mk 13s to fire older versions of SM-2, which might stick around for some time.
