Capital! Then it's updated!
Leionet has also gotten some updates(mostly added some minor details), but considering Majhost plays it's own game it might take a while until you can see them.
Also, here comes a series of even more ships!
First is a destroyer laid down in early 1946, essentialy a modded Öland class destroyer in design, and an even cheaper ripoff of the
Hugin class patroll boat.
We start with the destroyer.
The Sigurd
class destroyer was the first of the large destroyer classes of the Cold War Erikrike Navy. A class of three ships, all was named after different norse mythic heros. They represented a slightly awkward transition between the pre-war destroyer and the post-war ones. Their hull reminded more of the pre-war's, while her armament was decidedly post-war. They were also the first, and some of the few ships to mount the 57mm M/46* twin turret, hallmarking one of the typical features of post-war destroyers.
Serving onto 1976-78, they were the subject of major rebuilds in the late 60's when large parts of their armament was swapped for SAMs and ASW equipment, reclassifying them as frigates.
One was rebuilt as a pontone bridge, and the two others were sold for scrap after their decommissioning.
*Not entirely fictional. Several IRL RSwN NW's during WW2 planned for 57mm guns in twin turrets. This gun is the basis for my gun.
And now for the patrool boat.
The Väktaren
class patroll boat, entering service in 1976-79 was the first smaller vessel to be eqipped with SSM in the ErRN, and was considered a huge succes. Ten years after the first missile in service in the ErRN(The RB08, 1967) was put on an almost cruiser-sized craft, a torpedo boat-sized ship could carry one.
The Väktaren
class was a multipurpose design, and could have her Pingvin SSMs removed in favor to DCs or similar eqipment. The class would be outclassed by the newer designs in the 80's, in terms of surface combat, but would still remain in service unto the years between 1998 and 2003, when the entire class of eighteen ships was either mothballed or decommissioned.
