I think I would have tried to work in some amidships aircraft facilities, though. At least in US doctrine of the time, a scout cruiser with no floatplanes can't do much quality scouting.
Although not labelled as such (though it probably should be I guess) the drawing represents HMRS Kimberley in 1945, by which time British practice seems to have done away with aviation facilities due to improvements in radar technology. As commissioned though, at least the earlier ships in the class would likely have had some aircraft facilities that I'll hopefully get around to drawing at some stage.
