Couple of quick points.

• Still. A. WIP.
• For all intensive purposes this should be seen as a redesign of the Ark Royal to fall more in-line with what I imagine it would actually be rather than what I originally drew...
• Name changed from Ark Royal to Andarta as the former just doesn't sit right on a non RN vessel.
• Decent chunk cut out of her meaning a reduction in dimensions namely 381m to 350.5m
• Colours are temporary because they are what I had in the palette at the time.

Hopefully done. HMAtS Andarta, pride of the Atlantian Maritime Operations Force. Painted up for her current tour around the South Pacific.



Air Group comprises of 24x FA-15N4 Sea Eagles 24x FA-16N3 Sea Serpents and 8x FA-16N3A Sea Serpents. Support aircraft comprise of currently (not shown) 4x E-111X2 Tracer Junior AEW aircraft, 4x UC-111X Trader Junior COD and IFR aircraft 4x MP-3C1 Wiking ASW aircraft and 6 MH-212B Fulmar MP helicopters. The Tracers, Traders and Wikings will be replaced by the Prion in the next few years bringing a much greater commonality between types. She is also expected to receive a forth squadron of FA-15N3s in the near future which are currently under construction.
Defensive armament consists of 4x twin 27mm Gatling mounts 2x twin 35mm revolver mounts (27mm can't do air bursting stuff) and 4x 8 cell vertical launchers for 48 Mica-VL-EM and 48 Mica-VL-IR point defence missiles.

5 aircraft elevators (2 port + 3 starboard). 4 Cats and space to get aircraft around the islands a la CVA-01.

Whilst coming up with the what now seems somewhat controversial setup I did experiment with a refined mega island like that of the original but not out on the sponson as it was there. I guess I could try to make something out of that too. It'd mean loosing one of the elevators however.

Another bird... From one of the three major aircraft builders in Atlantia (which are AAe, McFarlane Dolenni and McMillan Aeronautics). It falls into the same class as the Typhoon/Rafale.

Development started in 1981 on what would be at the time a next generation aircraft to be unveiled to the Atlantian government. Like HMAtS Andarta development was protracted and somewhat lethargic. Despite the first prototype of the original iteration flying in 1987 development was shelved as the Government invested more heavily in the modified American types which it is still fielding to this day. However undeterred Damian McMillan the head of McMillan at the time used what had been learned through the development of the FCA program and started work on what would become the Banshee. Development advanced at a slow but steady pace until on January 9th 2000 the prototype took to the air for the first time. Development continued for a further 7 years until on the 13th of June McMillan Aeronautics received a contract from the government of Arcadia (a nation within the wider AU Atlantia is now perceived to occupy) for 24 single seat and 8 tandem seat airframes to replace their ageing Thunderbolts (design recycled from Pax). Production of the Banshee commenced on the 3rd of March 2008 with deliveries completed in December of 2009. In the following years to date the Banshee received updates bringing it up-to the state you see before you here.
