RHAF AU used from land (HLK does not have aircraft carriers) in both air superiority and strike missions. The large range was a reason to choose it for CAP missions in East Meditteranean and Aegean. The 113th wing used them from 1965 until 2001.In real world, that wing had F-5A/RF-5A.

I guess it's plausible, though I suppose that F-5 is more economical to operate (even if poorly radar-equipped).

hmmm the only problem I truly see with it is that 2001 is a bit too long to keep them in service IMHO even if the French technically kept them in service as well about as long, they were barely used at that point (don't quote me on that) and they were more just in service because the French weren't willing to buy replacements until the Rafale entered service. I would recommend replacing them in the late 80s early 90s with whatever 4th generation fighter you use (Irrc the Mirage)

Good point, though assuming that RHAF would have a significant supply of stored spare airframes, and considering that they would be used in less demanding conditions that French F-8's (no carrier ops, different climate) the "2001" deadline is thin, but not impossible for limited number (one squadron for example).

Yes,something similar with French ones, the RHAF Crusaders were on reserve after 1995,flying the minimum hours for retaining pilots and in exercises. At late 1990's only one squadron was still in service (with 16-18 units) from three original. The "Project Mirage" as the lisence built M2k was known into RHAF was continued normally and towards the end of 2001 the M2k-5 replaced the Crusader finally. The other two squadrons of 113th Wing had already the M2k from 1997 and 1998.The Crusader was kept in service to complete the number of fighters. Also in mid 1980's RHAF aquired 60-70 surplus USN Crusaders for spares.

Something I forgot to post, the training R-57,designated R-57EK.It could also be used as a fighter-bomber due to identical electronics.Cockpits were exactly the same, each pilot could fly the aircraft and use its weapons. There was a safety switch in front cockpit for locking of the back handlestick and throttlesticks to prevent accidentally use by the rear pilot. This was used when the R-57EK was used for train Weapon Operators for two seat fighter-bombers (F-4,Buccanneer).

Now from the R-57 only the Cypriot variants are missing.Cypriots made several modifications to their R-57s,mainly in electronics.

I decide to start redesigning my cruisers,so this is the first, the Miltiades.Originally, this sole ship was inteded to be named Odysseas, but the name changed to Miltiades before launch. She enteded service in 1978 and recieved a mjor upgrade in mid 1990's.In last decade several more small modifications had been made, mostly in communication system.

I have very high doubts about the workability of the sytems on board, the placement of these systems and the stability of the ship.

Now?Lowered the front mast, the front Aris VI removed (it can replace the front Dardo) and some other small modifications.Same draft with Vittorio Venetto.

And I have mentioned that Chimera launchers are much lighter from Mk143 Tomahawk launchers (about 40-45%).
