between 34 and 50 pixels roughly, for USN carriers, if my quick lookover of Friedmans US Carriers was correct.

Looks a bit better, though you might want to change the bow shape for a carrier conversion. Look at some of the historic carriers, and the shape of their bows for guidance. At this point I feel any further alterations to her design will mar her asthetic beauty. However I will take the lessons learned and try to apply it to any further carriers I do for this AU.

Detailing seems rather sparce on your vessels. Shading also looks a bit lacking on some. Maybe try looking at some similar vessels in the archive for inspiration.
Not a bad overall design though. :)
