Once again, I've modified the Model 187. I've added a fuel probe at the nose like the Tu-95, created a Reconnaissance version like the RB-36, and I have plans for a maritime variant. I also

Perhaps I should put them all on the same image?

Nice to see this bomber again.

-For refueling of this mosnter Denton Air Force needs a large tanker (perhaps a K-12?)
-A maritime variant would be interesting.
-In RB-12, my opinion is to use a different configuration for cameras.
-Some missiles in pylons (if she has such provision) and a template with her weapons please!

Hey Ethan,

I note all of the prop engines are on the same level...no dihedral to the wings?

-The refueling aircraft will likely be based on an airliner, like the 707.
-Like I said, the recon variant is based on the RB-36.
-I do need to draw the AShMs and ASuM that will be held on the wings.

Apdsmith, nope. I drew this a long time ago and I like the way it looks with all the engines in line. Plus, I based this on the concept Boeing Model 462, so it's not like I had any solid images to go off of...

Now that I look at the drawing, I realized I missed a couple of small details (I should stop these late night draw sessions ). I think I'll just put them all on one sheet too...

Edit: And on that note, I've looked at this so much that it's hard for me to notice anything majorly wrong with it. So if anyone has any ideas or improvements on the details (not the overall design, but the little things), I'd be glad to hear them.

Perhaps something larger that B707, that bomber is just huge!

The more and more I tried to make something out of the Condor, I started to realize how badly it was drawn. There were a lot of things wrong with the first design, so I've redesigned everything but the tail (excluding the tail gunner).

I'm still not entirely sure on the MPA version, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.

You can look the Soviet Tu-142 for ideas (the naval variant of Tu-95).

I hink also that she needs more powerful turboprops.

Hey Ethan,

Looking good!
Odysseus, Ethan and I actually discussed this a little while ago - while, yes, there are, for instance, 12kshp engines on the Tu-95, that's got big contra-rotating props to transmit the power to the air - this, based off flips through PMs a Boeing Model 462, doesn't have that as a part of the spec.

also, how many damned commas did I need for that sentence?

Edit: Hmm, one thing, though, seeing quite a few double black lines ... really not sure what to recommend with that, you kinda need them to show the shapes of the engines.

Thanks Adam!

Odysseus, I already did look at the Tu-142 and it got me nowhere. I based that front radar dome off of the Tu-16K-10, a Soviet Navy missile carrier, but I'm still not sure what to do with the rest of it.

Concerning horsepower, I did some calculations. The B-36 has 40,000hp (including it's jets) and a P/W ratio of 0.097 hp/lb, the Tu-95 has 59,200 hp and a P/W ratio of 0.143 hp/lb, the Being 462 (which this is based off of) has a measly P/W ratio of 0.080 hp/lb, and finally the Condor has 60,000 hp giving a P/W ratio of 0.117 hp/lb. So, I have plenty of power, more than the B-36 and 462 in fact, to keep this in the air. BTW Adam, my new engine spec are based off of the Rolls-Royce Tyne, which produced 6,100hp for a Transall C-160 with a 4-bladed prop, so it works perfect!

Yeah, there are quite a few double black lines, but I tried to alleviate that with a dark gray. It may be too dark, I may need to go a shade lighter to soften it up.
