 A very sad addendum to some of the drawings posted in this thread:Craig Burke, AKA "Admiral Furashita" of "Furashita's Fleet" on combinedfleet.com passed away on 4 February 2013 after a long battle with prostate cancer. I corresponded with him quite a bit in my early days of IJN research, and he always had a kind and encouraging word for my enthusiasm. He shall be sorely missed by all IJN buffs and those of us who draw AU ships. |

Oh wow! That's bad news indeed - his site was one of the first I stumbled across when I first became interested in naval ships back in 2007. Sad news. |

Indeed, very sad news. The first AU site I ever stumbled across was his Furashita's Fleet and he made a whole series of excellent model what-if aircraft and ships too with some really original concepts. |
