Glass reinforced plastic moulded in a single monocoque skin with no ribs or framework? why no frames? you can make your construction half the weight if you include frames, if not more. also, seeing that one large propeller is more efficient, why 2 propellers on one diesel? if they are electrically coupled I can understand it though. |

The hull construction is in accordance with the "real life" Huon Class. And yes, the two props are coupled to the single diesel. I was going to run with two azipods at the rear instead of the shaft props. Might still use the azipod option though.

Very nice landing craft! Wouldn't the propellers in tunnels (or some other "covered" arrangement) be more practical? |
