Today's instalment so far. Light utility, medium/heavy utility and specialist cargo/utility aircraft as well as specialized ISTAR stuff that aren't A310s.

[ img ]
UC-350A Koala (28): - Basic utility transport operated by AFCOM found all over the world as well as Atlantia, 4 or 5 were converted to VIP transports though these are being re-converted with the arrival of P.180s
VC-180B Spyder (26): - VIP and utility transports used on duties around Atlantia and as far as France and Germany. DIRCMs and other countermeasures fitted

[ img ]
C-109A Spartan (5>14): - C-27Js which are replacing the older C-130Hs on a one for one basis (the stretched 130 Hotels will be replaced with stretched 130 Juliet models
C-130H Hercules (12<26): - Slowly on the way out being replaced by other aircraft though those remaining in service will do so until around 2025
C-130J Hercules (14>24): - Medium lift aircraft replacing the stretched C-130Hs in service
C-140A Grizzly (2>16): - Undergoing TF&E, IOC expected early 2012 with FOC in 2014

[ img ]
VC-330A Polaris Senior (2): - Governmental command post and VIP transport aircraft, Polaris junior program was to be A310s which never materialized...
C-124A Ruslan (4): - Really-heavy transports, whilst there are only 4 in service all have all seen a lot of work in the past 3 years at home and overseas, when they aren't required by AFCOM they are leased out on civilian and foreign military jobs to earn their keep.

[ img ]
RC-350A Kookaburra (8): - Primarily used overseas for ERSTA, there are currently 4 based in Afghanistan 2 in China and 2 at home
RC-350B Kookaburra (4): - COMINT gathering aircraft again used overseas there are currently 2 based in Afghanistan

[ img ]
MP-319A Dolphin (2>24): - Replacement for the MP-3 in the land based maritime patrol and ASW role. They represent a quantum leap in capability for the maritime forces.
MP-3B Wiking (36<56): - Operated both on carriers and from naval land stations they have been progressively upgraded over the years to the point of being completely new on the inside with new ASW systems as well as EO/FLIR/Targetting systems as well as a new search radar. They also feature newer engines and have also been completely rewired to link-16 standard

[ img ]
MH-155A Kestrel (2>24): - Replacement for the Aérospatiale Gazelle which has been out of service since since 2003 They fill the role of armed scout and light utility helicopters
VH-155A Polaris Junior (8): - Replacement for the AS365s currently used on VIP duties

[ img ]
E-111X Trader Junior (14): - Current COD platform for the Atlantian navy.
E-111X Tracer Junior (24): - Current AEW platform for the Atlantian navy, features the Saab Erieye radar system mounted atop the fuselage in a somewhat clumsy looking arrangement...
MH-92A Albatross (24>56): - Fitted similarly to the naval MH-92 at least in respect to the armament systems they also feature TFR/WR + FLIR/EO systems for adverse/night flying at low level
MH-212B Fulmar (24<64) - Near enough identical to the existing bell 212 ASW variants in existance of course with some nation specific equipment for Atlantia. These are being phased out in favour of MH-92s

Don't worry there will be more to come :P

Whilst not directly an Atlantian aircraft it's an AAE product so it can go in here.
[ img ]

Back in the seventies there were proposals by Vought using a modified YF-16 airframe in competition with what would become the F/A-18. Whilst Atlantia went with the Hornet both for the naval and land based air arms AAE partnered with Vought to offer the V-1601 as it was then called for export.
The venture would end up with the aircraft becoming re-designated the VA-1601 and later marketed as the F/A-16. The original F/A-16 models were nothing like the one shown above. They mirrored developments made with the F-16 and by the late eighties were being actively promoted to various nations, a reoccurring criticism with the aircraft was the inherent lack of air to ground munitions / capabilities compared to it's main rival the F/A-18. From the early nineties AAE took over the project completely and went about providing a real alternative to the F/A-18. The F/A-16C and D models were substantial improvements over the A and B models, the D model was a fully operational aircraft with dual controls unlike the B model which possessed even more limited stores options than the A model. Both the C and D models introduced an internal FLIR/IRST system in the nose some years before a similar set-up was operationally fielded by the UAEAF on their F-16Es and Fs. They featured a revised landing gear arrangement to boost the angle of attack on take-off as well introducing a true multi-role capability with the inclusion of targeting and navigation pods slung under the chin (Air intake).
The next evolution in the series came with the E/F series of aircraft which introduced a larger wing similar to that fitted to the Mitsubishi F-2A/B aircraft designed and built by LM and Mitsubishi. They also for the first time were integrated with canards under the air intake (which did not restrict the use of the chin mounted sensor pods. The air intake was also redesigned and enlarged with eye to operations at lower altitude as well as hot and high climates. The type also introduced thrust vectoring albeit in 2 dimensions to help during take-offs with heavy loads or unfavourable conditions. The F/A-16 was offered from 2000-2005 in this configuration.
The current iteration of the design the G and H models have been in development since 2005. They build upon the previous model's advances and introduced some new systems and ideas. The G/H series were the first in the series to be offered with CFTs as standard as well as the enlarged dorsal spine found on F-16Is and some other late block F-16s. They are offered with both the P&W F100-PW232 and GE F110-GE-132 engines each with 3D TVC should the customer specify it. They feature probe and drogue refuelling capability through the CFTs via a retractable probe. They are also fitted with an newer and updated FLIR/IRST system. The aircraft have been wired to link-16 standard and are offered with depending on US agreement AN/APG-80 or SABR actively scanned arrays. Armament wise this series of aircraft are cleared with all stores cleared with the Block50/52 F-16 as well as several Atlantian operated weapon systems.
The vividly coloured thing in the image depicts where the aircraft currently stands, fitted with a DSI and undergoing weapon integration tests in Atlantia. The aircraft is finished in 'dayglo' Orange and green primer pending a paintscheme specified by AAE to befit the demonstrator. The aircraft currently in existence are.2X-ZALL, ZALM and ZALN (ZALN being a two seater).

AH-11 Sora designed and built by a joint-joint venture of AAE and Euromil (2001-2009 time frame) Lost out to the WZ-10 for the AFCOM contract, back in the running this time for a MARCOM contract to replace ageing AH-1Ts, in competition again with WAH-64D and WZ-10. There are rumours of the design being dropped in favour of further development of the WZ-10 for international customers in the western world and development of a specialized WAH-64D variant for MARCOM.

It does. I just haven't drawn it on (yet) it's an affair similar to that used on the Mi-28 a flattened 'X'.

This has been an on/off thing for forever and a day but I've finally gotten around to putting mouse to screen and drawing a suitable update to what was my first design more in line with current events and my drawing skills...
Colours need to be swapped for Atlantian ones (at the moment it's in the colours I use for Lithentis as that was the palette I had lying around)
Same as before, ASW/GP and AAW vessels were each built in separate blocks (Block I and Block II). I was looking at making them more modular than before so to help with production. Armament is yet to be fully finalized but as you can see there is quite a mix... 76mm and 40mm are probably more likely to go on the AAW vessels (both blocks will get the 27mm Gatling) Both vessels will carry their point defence missiles in the foremost launchers
The launchers behind them will be utilized for role specific munitions (ASW/GP will hold cruise missiles and stand-off ASW torpedos where as the AAW vessels will hold SM-3 and SM-6. The forward launchers are a pair of 8 cell launchers each with four cells of either type of VL-MICA, they are so arranged so as to be able to "pack" more than one missile per cell. They can take three MICAs per cell. The forward launchers are the shortest member of the family whilst the aft one is the longest member (4m and 8m respectively)
The mission bay aft of the helicopter deck is a bit iffy to describe, there is a tunnel I guess you could call it either side for a RHIB with space to walk around and what not but not too much else, the doors either side you see are to load/unload/interact with the boats once in the water. Between these two tunnels there is an arrangement for containerized modules of various sorts. The middle of these containers would usually be used for a weapon system whilst the others usually used for extra berthing for commandos embarked as well as their equipment etc. Smaller ships boats will go where you see the folding door amidships both to port and starboard. There's still quite a lot to do with them but I figure it'd be nice to show some progress on things other than aircraft.

Haram will never go to war with you, your ship is too beautiful! hahaha.
I like VLS. And I like the solution of the stern as you write about. a kind of ro-ro ships.
