Empress Victoria Junko class battleship The first Antaran battleship to mount 16 inch guns, the Victoria Junkos at the time were one the largest battleships in the world, with a displacement of 36 000 tonnes. She mounted a heavy broadside of 10 guns, following on from the Osoran Hitake class. Compared to her Osoran counterpart, Victoria Junko had a thicker 14" belt and slightly slower speed of around 25 knots. Both Osoran and Antaran guns could elevate 45 degrees and thus both had very long gun ranges, Antara's heavier shells that were fired at a similiar velocity meant Victoria's range was the lesser of the two. Main battery - 5x2 406mm/45 Secondary battery - 6x2 127mm/45 - 14x1 152mm/45 Speed - 25.3 knots average Range - 8000nm at 12 knots Displacement - Approx. 36k tonnes standard Belt - 356mm Ships in class Empress Victoria - Scrapped, 1348 Emperor Franklin I - Sunk in surface action, 1346 Queen Willamina II - Sunk by aircraft, 1342 |

Looks like its time for beast of Antara to show Japs who is the real ruler of the Pacific waves. Good luck, Antarans! (And remember about indecisiveness of cruiser warfare). |

V-84 (Misriah) class Based on the successful V-78 class fleet boats, the V-84s ditched the 155mm cruiser guns the previous class used, in favour of lighter 5" deck guns. She retained her excellent (for her type) 21 knots surface speed and 9 knots submerged, as well as her range of 11,000nm. The class could submerge at a maximum of 64 meters during testing, which gradually improved to 73 meters with subsiquent subclasses. Another trend that continued with the V-84s was the adoption of names by their captains in conjunction with their hull numbers which allowed for ease of identification. Due to the tendency for inappropriate names to be used, which was common with earlier submarines, the Navy issued strict regulations with regards to naming practices, and as such, the majority of Antaran submarines from 1932 were named after small cities and towns. As these nicknames were not official, on occasion they would share a name with another warship. Displacement - 1520 tonnes Armament - 26 530mm torpedoes |
