I always was under the impression it was illegal for Japan to sell weapons to keep in line with the whole military is exclusively a defense force thing

It's not, they've sold military equipment before. It is however a political hot potato.

Fixed the corvette's low freeboard and added specifications.
Edit; added UW-7 Bangus submarine.

Reduced the submarine force to 4 boats to keep up with the construction schedule of the Sōryū class submarines. I am following the real-life consturction schedule of those submarines.

Regarding the strategic sealift vessel (you may know it as a LPD), a modified version of this design is being offered by an Indonesian firm for the real life Philippine Navy Strategic Sealift Vessel requirement:

It is very similar to the Damen Enforcer 13000 LPD:

I will base the strategic sealift vessel in my AU on the Enforcer 13000, but with a stretched hangar (with the loss of 1 helicopter landing spot).

Added the F-16 G/H in the Philippine Air Force section. I am going to do a PAF F-35. In this AU the Philippines ordered 40 F-35 units, 30 F-35A and 10 F-35B (you will soon find out why the Philippines in this AU purchased the F-35B :D ), to be delivered starting 2016.

These are some quite ambitious plans, even for much better-off Philippines (esp. these F-35B and what I think is the reason for them), but I'm looking forward to see how all of it will develop anyway. :)

The F-35 was purchased because of development in stealth fighters in China, and the F-35B, well, you may already know which branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines it would go to :D

Increased the submarine force to 6 boats, removed the fast attack craft and increased the number of corvettes to 18, since I am reorganizing this AU. In the reorganized AU, the Philippine Navy is a green-water navy with force projection capabilities.

Why the F-16E, vs say a newer and possibly better bang for you buck Gripen or Eurofighter. Nothing wrong with using the F-16E, except maybe the plane itself is a pretty old design but thats about it, just curious.
