Actually, BB1987, you're on to something there. Heuhen, by terminating your forward tripod virtually on top of the funnel grating, it'd ensure that the electronic and mechanical parts but especially the electronic ones in your FCS will be fried as the time goes on. The smoke the ship will produce at flank speed or simply when taking up steam in the boilers, in readiness for departure, will guarantee that the instruments will be rendered practically useless.
So, I'd raise it to the same height as the aft tripod. Besides, you'd achieve a graceful symmetry in an otherwise very elegant and interesting design!
