It'll take a while for me to fully digest these excellent masterpieces :D , but it's really nice to see those vessels from the old Byzantine Komintern/USSR AU get the modern treatment. :)

Yes there are alot of ships which I've toyed around several times during these years, but there are quite alot of new ones as well.

Very attractive drawings, of course.

I do not think 11630's phased arrays would work in practice; of course the en echelon funnels block aft arcs (note that though Burke's turbines are en echelon, her funnels are centerline), but also horizon coverage would be very poor aft if the ship were pitching much at all. Again from Burke, we can judge that at least in USN practice, 5deg below the horizon is considered the minimum acceptable view. This happens to be about one pixel in ten.

To some extent, that goes for the 12440 series as well, although arguably it is less important for fire control than for search and track. If there is a potential target right aft, a ship could maneuver so that it were more broadside (although this certainly isn't ideal).
