You can choose one of both opportunities. Most haven't but examples at the opposite exist tx the Albion Class LPD's. ;)

IT can be, but it can also be smooth. It depends on what you want.

For a larger ship, i would say a door that fits over the hull, because when a wave bashes onto it, it can use the strenght of the hull to take it.
But if you use one that is next to the hull, and supports on an inner plate. Then it can also take waves.
But it takes ore space...
And when your door is on the hull, and not in it. You can create larger doors.
Because when you use one that goes straight with the hull, it has to be as big as the hole is in the hull.

I hope its clear

I'll get to work on removing that boom sometime after work today.

Bronies are like the Forsworn. Everyone agrees that they are a problem but nobody wants to expend the energy rooting them out.

Here is the frigate with the boom removed, and the new supersonic ramjet ASM.

what is the need of one stealth anchor and one non-stealth?
also, I would love to see you use one of the 'realistic drawn' RHIB's, but that's up to you as there is no rule for doing so. ;)

This is based off an older drawing, and there are things like the RHIB and non-Stealth anchor that are artifacts from the original drawing, that likely need to go. I'll work on remedying them.

Got rid of the nonstealth anchor, replaced RHIB, sized 64 cell MK 41 VLS correctly, and added forward RAM launcher.

This is the Amphitrite Klasse, ASW counterparts to the Cybele Klasse. Six have been approved to replace the Medusa (OHP/FFG-7) Klasse, but the Rijkszeemacht wants another 6 to ensure 4 per carrier group, though whether this will happen with the other building programmes underway or planned is debatable.

By the look of that launcher, that ASM will not fit!
