@Atlantica32: Thats exactly what im going for, not only a ROKAF style air force but a South Korea style South Vietnam. i already have the air force sheet for 1980. Among the changes you will find aircraft like the Corsair II, Bronco and Mirage F1.

@odysseus1980: It was built to compete with the Boeing 737-200 and the McDonnell Douglas DC-9. The AC-8-100 is designed to takeoff and land in short and unprepared runways, and for short to medium range routes carrying 100 -120 passengers. I already have other aircraft in FD-Scale, some of them are airliners and the others are the 4th generation fighters that suceeded the C-14. By the way i really liked your AC-100 airliner, i would love to see an FD-Scale version of it.

For creating FD-scale version of AC-100, an FD Fokker 70/100 is needed, since both use Rolls Royce RB.183 Tay. Fuselage of SB version was created from combining DC-9 and VC10, while tail and wings are modified Il-62. Generally I am fan of rear engined airliners, which have a significant advantage over traditional wing engined ones. A rear engined airliner can land on emergency on sea easily and safely, sliding on water until stop under a well trained pilot.

AC8 and AC-100 somewhat compete each other, because latter is also designed to land and take off from short runaways. However, AC-100 has restrictions on condition of runaway.

I would like to see my AC-100 in VIASA colors.

The CAV AC7 is a four-engine long-range narrow-body jet airliner built from 1958 to 1982 by the Construcciones Aeronauticas Venezolanas.Formally launched in October 1955, the CAV AC7 was developed as a necessary reaction to the Boeing 707 and the Douglas DC-8 and to replace the older piston engined aircraft still in service on international flights. The AC7 entered service with Viasa on 22 October 1959 with an inaugural passenger flight from Caracas to Paris, and remained the standard long-range airliner for Venezuelan airlines until the late 1970's. It was the first Venezuelan pressurised aircraft with non-circular cross-section fuselage and ergonomic passenger doors, and the first Venezuelan jet with six-abreast seating.

VeneAvia - VA-1000-10

The VeneAvia VA-1000 is a long-range Venezuelan airliner designed and built by VeneAvia, and first flown at Maracaibo, in 1959. The airliner was designed to operate on long-distance routes from the shorter runways of the era, and demanded excellent hot and high performance for operations from high altitude airports in South America.

Launched six months after the AC7 the designers at VeneAvia knew that the only way their aircraft would have a chance to compete with other aircraft in its class was by outperforming the AC7 in every possible way, this would later have a great influence on the final design whinch ended up being completely different from the AC7. With a T tail, rear mounted engines and extremely clean aerodynamics to reduce drag werever possible the VA-1000 not only had greater range but also achieved a slightly higher speeds. Another advantage came as a result of the engineers decision to use turbofans to power the aircraft from the start something that CAV's AC7 lacked and wouldnt use until after the VA-1000 entered service.

While the aircraft was being designed the sales team was desperately looking for buyers, the first orders came from Aeropostal and Avensa for 20 and 18 aircraft respectively and later more orders started arriving notably from Iberia for 15 aircraft and VASP for 10 bringing the orderbook to 63 enough to start production.The first airlines to put the aircraft into service were Aeropostal and Avensa in 1961 with Aeropostal flying from Caracas to New York and Avensa from Caracas to London. It wasnt long before Viasa noticed the VA-1000's performance and as a result asked CAV for an improved AC7 (AC7-300) but knowing the aircraft would not be ready soon enough the airline ordered 22 VA-1000's in late 1961 with the first arriving in november 1962.

Very nice aircraft, try the nose of AC7 in this aircrame, as I thought it. Also I think VA-1000 is underpowered, VC.10 of same dimensions had four engines 22,500 lbf each.
