The Holland class is not going to cut it as your sole class of OPVs. It doesn't have nearly as much range as is necessary to cover the huge patrol areas we're talking about.
You'll need something more in line with what the USCG calls a medium or even a high endurance cutter.
Go away with USN or USCG ships... ;)
Not the point. The Holland Class does not have the endurance to patrol those areas. It was build to patrol the English channel and adjoining waters a talking about, they'll need two or three times that ranged it's reflected by it's effective range of 5000nm. To cover the areas Mich is talking about, they'll need two or even three times the range, unless you want them to be running in and out of harbours all the time.

WRONG! the holland is not build for the north sea (and what it should do in the english channel, which is british patrol area (or french) I have no idea from..... it was build as anti-piracy ship mostly, and for showing the flag around and........ well just say they are for duty's overseas, and not an patrol ship like the NL coastguard has! where did you get that intel, wikipedia or something?

No, its performance stats. It has a range of 5000nm, enough for puttering around in north europe and down the atlantic coast, but it doesn't have the legs to carry out effective patrols anywhere else. And unlike the US and the UK, NL doesn't have basing rights all over the planet. Hence the local patrol thing.
That's why I brought up the Coast Guard H/MEC. The are, right now, carrying out just the type of patrols Mich is going to need.
Seriously, the one of the big point on the wish-list for an eventual Thetis Class replacement is increased endurance, and it can cover some 9000nm.

The holland class patrol vessels were specialy built to patrol the dutch Economical zones both in the north sea and in the caribbean. They were built for missions within the lower spectrum of violance as Anti-drugs,anti-pirate and anti terrorism because sending frigate's or bigger ships for these missions are to expensive. But the totaly are NOT compareble to a USCG vessel because they are much more then CG ships. these ships will do the same tasks as the US LSC ships but only for 1/10 the price and about the harbour in and out we have something for that : Refueling at Sea!

Like I said, short range work. A take it that the once working in the Caribbean is based over there.

You do realise you've just stated the exact definition of a USCG cutter right?
So yeah, it is comparable. Sure, it may have the ability to become much more, but if they start taking on heavy weapons, it's not a patrol boat anymore.

Refuelling at sea is way to expensive to maintain a single ship patrol for any kind of extended time.

Actually it is not.
I already had 4 RAS(refueling at sea) operations. 3 of them was my ship and the RAS ship.
It aint that expensive, since there is always an RAS ship around the world. If it aint militairy, it is civilian.
The only cost is the fuel in it.

There's a big difference between bunkering while at anchor and refuelling at sea. If you're doing the first, you might as well go into the harbour since it takes just as long if not longer. The second however, is a specialized operation that no civilian companies in the world does. It requires special training and special gear, so yeah, it's pretty damn expensive.

goalkeeper replacement: you are in the best position to know how an follow up would look like so...... why not try something yourself ;)
and for the helicopter: why not use that advanced version of the lynx, I thought there was an antitank version of that one..... don't know if that one is shipborne though.

Goalkeeper replacement? How about something bases on metalstorm, or a small rapid fire railgun, or a solid state laser, or possibly active electromagnetic armor, wiki any of those terms for a summary.
