40 Destroyers

35 Frigates

40 Submarines

Those numbers seem a tad extreme. Is this version of Brazil mega rich or something?

And that first cruiser you made seems easily big enough to qualify as a Battlecruiser.

Just my opinion though. It's a very handsome drawing although with all those missiles I question the need for the forward gun turret. I can't see a vessel like that going to sea on its own without escorts who would carry their own gun emplacements.

Little smaller than USN= Brazil replacing Soviet as the new superpower
If that's the case, I doubt US selling AN/SPY-1 to Brazil.

...yet it has a cruiser with likely 130% displacement, bare minimum, as any cruiser ever launched by the USN in its entire history....

And it's tasked with protecting oil rigs.

So? As has been said before you don't just draw a ship and says it does this. Design it with consideration for what it is actually meant to sodding do. For example. You wouldn't send a fully fledged battleship to do mine warfare duties would you? Sort out your priorities for role before you draw anything.

I have gazed into the future of this AU [ img ] and seen the return of the ABC arms race!

Argentina will say "Is this battleship with six SPY-1 faces being built to protect those Brazilian oil fields or are they just attempting to become an aggressive South American hegemon?" The first thing they'll do is go to the secret archives and dust off their nuclear bomb and ballistic missile plans - unlike many things in Argentina these probably haven't disappeared! Then they'll order a battleship with eight SPY-1 faces! :o Chile will want a battleship with ten SPY-1 faces! In a few years there'll be battleships with 14 SPY-1 faces  running around down there!

TRUE Brazilian Navy future planning:

2 50,000 tons carriers
4 LPHs
18 6,000 tons frigates
24 4,000 tons corvettes
6 SSNs
12 SS
24 1,500 tons OPVs
50 500 tons OPVs

By the way: we want technological partners. This is a VERY BIG asset for American suppliers. ALL integration work for SPY radars is make in the USA. We want a more collaborative and less restrictive partner.
