Honestly, that's exactly what it is, nothing more than an exercise in money over brains, kinda like the Death Star. In my AU they circulated erzatz data concerning the construction of vessels like this as a deliberate campaign of disinformation, trying to bait the US into breaking the bank trying to devise a counter.

Objective Global Warship
  • Designed with a particular mission in mind.
  • Under continuous refinement to make the ship better
  • Has an airwing sized for the ship.
  • A fine example of Shipbucket styling.
  • Drawn under the assumption that BUDGETS ARE DEATH, but still buildable by an economy the size of the USA.
  • Physically possible.
This thing
  • Drawn for the sake of drawing something this big.
  • Little more than a scaled up version of prior ships by the artist
  • Horribly stern heavy.
  • Little thought.
  • No airwing at all.
  • Not fully up to Shipbucket drawing spec.
  • Drawn with the question "What does the word economy mean?" in mind.

I was hoping beyond hope when I saw this on the forums that it would be a well thought-out, possibly Russian, counter to Erik's simply superb & realistic OGW. But this?...

Golly, get off the RL stuff and do a proper Russian counter to the OGW please!

;) Im drawing FD scale, no worries, no real life yet

But Ive always loved AU when they are plausible and when the own designs have resembled mostly something that can and has actually floated under war-ensigns.
