The Demaline-Class of Light cruisers were a class of Light cruisers that served the Scouric navy. The class was scrapped, except one--, which crashed into a seawall and was deemed too expensive to remove (SNS Vershaw).

The Arbiter class of cruisers was a class of cruisers that served the Scouric Navy. It was built as a treaty cruiser but proved to be very inefficient with 8x170mm cannons as its main armament. It was just a smidge below the tonnage limit for its class.

The Kervis-Class of Heavy cruisers were a class of powerful and large cruisers. They virtually shattered and burnt the current naval treaty, being severely over the tonnage, and being heavily armed with 9x20cm guns, and a rather exceptional dual-purpose secondary. Its anti-air defense was quite good aswell...

My best ships so far, I have more but they are not very good...
Anyways, glory to the Scouric Empire!

Its History so Far:
[ img ]
The Scouric Empire was a strange thing. The Scouric peoples had initially in ancient times been a large group of natives that didn't even live in the lands that would soon constitute the Scouric Empire. These Scouric peoples had lived in large developed settlements far west, deep in what now is apart of the Reverian Empire. During ancient times, the Reverians on their goal of conquest, had met the Scouric peoples and attempted to subjugate them. After much resistance, the Reverians decided instead to commit genocide and exterminate both the people and the culture of the Scouric people, and sending what was left to residential schools. up to 86% or more of the Scouric people had been slaughtered or 'colonized', and many settlements that had been the Scouric's homes for centuries had become smoldering, burnt houses and towns. The survivors migrated far, far east and managed to settle in one of the most fertile and untouched lands in all of Ariethia, in the autonomous region which would now be called Hieth. Some centuries later, they would spread further east until they met the Eastern Sea, which they named 'Sea of Sorno'. There, multiple kingdoms had setup within the rough borders of the former Scouric Empire. The population surged drastically due to the fertile lands and rich resources that gave the Scouric's the ability to prevent themselves from being at risk to invasion by foreign powers. The kingdoms would eventually grow in strength, and the strongest one--, which was the Kingdom Surgokyth, eventually attempted to unify the 14 kingdoms, with the Kingdom of Surgokyth's largest city being the administrative capital. The kingdoms were all allowed a high level of autonomy, and the King of Surgokyth would become the acting Emperor of the newly formed Royal Empire of Scoura. Good diplomacy and the sharing of the same ethnic races helped to keep the Royal Empire of Scoura in relative peace for roughly fifty years, before the nearby Empire of Xallon seeked to gain new lands and subjugate the fledgling empire. The Scouric's lost a large amount of land, and had lost the support of the people. After some crippling civil wars, the borders of the Royal Empire of Scoura shifted again, with some autonomous regions being split into smaller regions, whilst some regions absorbed neighbors to grow larger. The King of Surgokyth was culled, along with his entire kin, thus ending his lineage. The Royal Empire of Scoura quickly descended down the path of authoritarianism, much like most of its other neighbor's. The Empire was controlled by its first ruler--, a competent one, and led to sweeping changes and reforms. The regions kept their autonomy, however when it comes to certain issues the ruling party would have a say in what will happen when and how. A competent military force had been formed, and the stagnating population due to crippling famines and revolting farmers had been alleviated somewhat. A second population boom happened, and the Scouric population reached 200 million by the time the First World War had occurred. The Scouric Empire had replaced the Monarchy that had led the Scourics previously.

The First World War tested the military prowess of the Scouric Empire. For the most part, they had been surprisingly in good shape, as their neighbor's have had to cull countless uprisings within their territories. The Scouric Empire enjoyed prosperity, however they had been blinded by this prosperity and wanted to expand their borders and regain territories that had deem unlawfully taken away from them. The declaration of war to the Empire of Xallon by the Scouric Empire was a surprise, which was soon followed by the Reverians accepting their duties as an ally and forming a force at the borders. The First World War proved the Scouric's capability to wage war on multiple fronts, and being able to sustain their forces indefinitely, having their production and logistics being able to keep their armies and equipment well maintained. After the end of the war, the Scouric Empire would go on to develop a strong sense of militarism and nationalism that permeated through all levels of their society. After all, they had humiliated their invaders, and now were in a place of strength. The Second World War then started, after a short hiatus.

Technology progresses, that's no question. The post-war years of the first world war saw a high degree of effort spent on the development of new munitions, vehicles and weapons for offensive capabilities. The use of aircraft for bombing cities and shooting down other aircraft had come to become accepted by all the major powers--, including the Scouric Empire. The Scouric Empire had modernized its navy significantly, selling the dozens of now obsolete battleships and destroyers to multiple nations across Ariethia (Except the Republic of Kaeha. The Republic of Kaeha is landlocked). The population of the Scouric empire had more than doubled, owing to the excessive production of food in some regions such as Hieth, Juieth and Justerf. At more than 400 million, the Scouric military numbered some seven million soldiers--, which were comfortably maintained by the prospering Scouric Empire and its robust economy. Production was booming, the population was booming, technological development was booming, and an urge for another war was booming. Yes, the Second World War.

The Second World War was like a slap in the face. Most of the nations within the continent had formed a large alliance to counter the Scouric's perceived and growing threat to the 'established' world order. When the Reverian Empire--, the bona fide leader of this alliance, lead the allied nations against the Scourics, it had become a watershed moment. Quickly, the Scouric's realized they had to face the onslaught of over 30 million troops who had been mobilizing for months prior to the declaration of war. The Scouric's immediately assumed a defensive stance, and used natural barriers to defend from foreign forces. The large build up of tanks and ammunition along with its high level of industrialization and robust supply lines gave the Scourics a homefield advantage in defending from outside forces. Its large air-force proved fearsome, and its massive Navy which was nearly finished, made the chance of landing troops successfully on Scouric shores nigh null. The Scouric's focused well on protecting their cities and the industrial zones from which the resources which fed the mighty Scouric juggernaut churned out at high efficiency. The war lasted a grueling ten years of fierce fighting, with most of the cities and villages on the fringes of the Scouric border being non-existent by the closing stages of the war. The inventing of the nuclear bomb forced the Scouric's to yield, with the industrial zones which were located in Soalerth and Sarueth incinerated and irradiated by nuclear fire. Shortly after, the Scouric's had managed to complete their nuclear weapons project thanks to Satall, and finished the processes needed for enriching uranium. After the atomic bombings of the multiple ports and cities belonging to the Allies by the Scourics, the two soon admitted to a stalemate, and accepted the territories the two sides had managed to occupy. The Scouric-aligned bloc and the Reverian-led bloc are at odds with each other, and compete in any way they could with each other, both culturally, economically and technologically. A Cold War of sorts, if you may.

The Regions

Hieth:
Its well known for its wine, and good food. The people are nice and friendly, and most share a mix of Reverian and Scouric blood due to the region bordering the Reverian Empire. A decent percent of the food produced by the Scouric Empire comes from the lands within Hieth, and the areas are quite picturesque thanks to the conservation of the environment due to its cultural significance. There is an ugly side too, however. During the war, A large amount of Hieths lands have become uninhabitable due to shelling and poison gas, and there are many towns you can find near the border that have no residents, and have become decrepit reminders of the horrors of war.

Toro:
Toro has for much of its time, been a valuable region with immense reserves of aluminum, magnesium, gold, iron and oil. There used to also be a massive logging operation which stretched from 1904-1942, with almost 80% of the trees within Toro being cut down for export and domestic use, however in 1948, the remainder of Toro's trees were labeled as nature reserves to prevent the further de-forestation of the area. Nevertheless, the region produces mostly precious minerals and metals through a large mining sector and oil sector, which has helped fuel the rapid urbanization of the Scouric Empire. Some deserted parts of Toro were also used during the late stages of nuclear weapons development, for the testing of nuclear weapons. Many of these sites are cordoned off due to fear of being dangerous to public health.

Juieth:
A wonderful, sparsely populated region, with the region mostly consisting of mountain ranges, with the largest being down south along its border with the Korono Federation and Empire of Xallon. Juieth has most of its population living rurally--, some five million, much more than most of the other regions. Juieth is a good place to go for hiking, or on an expedition, as the nature for the most part is untouched, and it hasn't been industrialized in any significance due to the worry of endangering the species that live in the area. Juieth is a notable hotspot for tourism--, and also just for people wanting to be a bit laid back on their cottage trip. The tourism comes mostly due to the fact that the largest inland body of water--, the Gevin Sea (mostly controlled by the Scouric Empire), is a place most would want to visit atleast once in their lifetimes.

Loperth:
Loperth is the largest region of all the regions, and the Scouric Navy has used the ports within Loperth ever since the conception of the Scouric Empire. The ports are busy, and a majority of the Scouric Empires trade flows through the ports within Loperth. 1/5 people within the coastal cities have had at least one person within their family who has served or is serving within the Scouric Navy, either having being volunteered or conscripted into it. Loperth has a lot of thick woodland areas further down south, and so Loperth harvests the largest amount of timber in comparison to the other regions. There are also some wetlands, however most of them are located along its border with Juieth.

Sarueth:
Sarueth was apart of the region once called Kolteth, however it was split into what is now Sarueth and Soalerth due to the large Scouric-Rasueth and Scouric-Lerthos groups, who wanted their own autonomous regions. Sarueth is culturally diverse, with the population being largely Scouric-Rasueth. The region also has a similar maritime history as Loperth, as it also did its share in the war. A lot of oil rigs are located within the Regions waters--, which it contests hotly with Loperth and Marino. Sarueth has also been a larger producer of rubber historically, and still is, however rubber production is falling due to the rapid introduction and production of synthetic rubber created from oil (of which Sarueth has a large reserve of). There are some irradiated areas due to the war, which has significantly impacted Sarueths industrial capacity. As such, it does not refine its own oil, and instead sends it off to Saolerth for refining.

Soalerth:
Soalerth is highly industrialized and urbanized region, as it is a middle-eastern region, and much closer to the economic center of the Scouric Empire with middling climate. Soalerth has seen large strides in eradicating poverty, and in decreasing death from disease. Soalerth has many populous and lovely cities, and it certainly is a nice place to go to. The weather is on average more cooler, however, and so most would find it unnatural to see snow as most in the western provinces would rarely see such a thing. The population is also mostly Scouric-Lerthos, and there are many temples and religious spaces dedicated to them that were built a very long time ago, though the open practice or preaching of it is forbidden under Scouric law.

Marino:
Marino has the largest population in total, and does not have the amazing scenery that most regions would have tucked away in places (Save for Toro). The region had been mostly open space, having been nothing more but a large plains, save for the mountain range that stretches from Sano to Marino. This flat landscape made it easy for the developing of the area, and thus this lead to Marino's Hagenvok city to become the largest city within the Scouric Empire, having invaluable economic importance. Marino has many business opportunities, especially in Hagenvok, and as the popular phrase goes "If there's a place where dreams come true, its Hagenvok".

Justerf:
Justerf is a large producer of food, and was pivotal in the early development of the Scouric Empire. The food from which flowed from Justerf that filled the bellies of hungry Scourics helped to feed the population, and sustain its incredible growth, and also in bringing in money through export. Due to increasingly effective farming techniques, there aren't as many farmers, however food production has increased in recent times regardless. Justerf remains the unrivaled producer of food within the Scouric Empire, though the quality of its goods have come to doubt at times. The land in Justerf is extremely fertile, and the weather conditions are just right, allowing for effective farming. Climate change is posing a problem, however.

Sorno:
Sorno is one of the more richer regions, and posses a high quality of life. During war-time, Sorno's port's were used by the 4'th fleet as its homeport, with the 4'th fleet being a figure of pride for most people of Sorno. Sorno has the highest average age, with roughly 67 being the average age overall. This is due to the level of healthcare infrastructure present within Sorno, as the Heads of the region have historically valued health over anything else, diverting alot of their yearly budget towards mainting and expanding their gargantuan healthcare infrastructure. This is why many retire to Sorno, though land prices have surged in recent times. Sorno played its part in the war, as Site 30 was used by Satall for nuclear weapons development by Scouric Scientists.
Sano:
Sano has the third largest population in the Scouric Empire, with virtually all of the population living within the cities, apart from a few million who are spread across the thousands of villages in remote corners of Sano. Sano is the closest to the economic center of the Scouric Empire.

Surge (Or Surgokyth):
Surge is the second most populous region in the Scouric Empire, with the Capital located on Surge's coast. The Capital is highly developed, and much of the Scouric military command resides in the Kogen-hak Military complex within Surge. The area was a high priority target, however excellent military planning and the dense lead from which bombers would have to survive from, led the Capital enduring little damage during the course of both World Wars, luckily. Most of the Scourics bureaucratic and administrative functions occur within the capital as expected, and the seat of the Leader is located within the Capital of Surge. the Imperial Diet, or Raytsteg, is also located within the Capital. Other parts of the Surge also have large cities, but none as big as the Capital.

SNS Siren, A large destroyer whose role is intended to be as a Destroyer leader. I've tried to improve.

SNS Lord Mygarath, another destroyer. Definitely very large as far as destroyers go, but lets just call it an obese destroyer than waste time bickering over its class...

Some of my recent stuff! I've tried to stick to using the standard sb gray, then making my own wonky and inconsistent color schemes.
