Re the raised DP gun on sides, is it worth raising them ? will the slightly improved arcs actually be used due to blast or could you get nearly as good without raising them ? (and is it worth the weight ?) Not sure IMO :?:

And yes I like the last layout :D

Very nice progress. A good looking cruiser.

With the paired searchlights I'm not sure you need the searchlight on the mainmast, but then its a good placeholder for radar later on.

You realise that the immunity zone against German 8"L60 is 20,000-24,000 yards, while the immunity zone against the K class 5.9"L60 guns is 7,000-21,000 yards. You should beat up on the German light cruisers but may not do very well against Hipper class heavy cruisers.

No idea what this 21cm gun is supposed to be modeled on?

Does any 10,422 t full load CA have a good IZ v a 18,500t CA ?

Does it really matter 8' hits will still hurt Hipper so its just a matter of luck who hits first and most ? (and hoping Hippers good FC system isn't to good)

the profile of the drawing looks ok. But there is a lot happening on your decks with the boats, 105 and 40mm being placed in close proximity. Might I suggest trying to fit the equipment onto a simple overhead view (pinch one of KHT's overheads to try). This will give you an instant view if the equipment you want will actually fit in the positions you want. I have been caught out that way before. One of the reasons I started drawing overheads was for just that reason.

I would also check the size of your turrets to fit the 210mm/8.27" 45 calibre guns. 8.27x45/6=pixels. That is the length of the barrel (?), you still need the loading mechanism attached to the end of it and room to load the shells. The shells need room to be passed up inside the barbette ring. I could easily be totally wrong and others will tell me fairly quickly if I am.
