This was the second latest vesion with only 2 goalkeepers as major equipment.

Ok the story as i read it many time's.
You know the hr ms Rotterdam? The lpd.

By 2001 there whas a need for a second amphic ship.
The dutch navy had been talking about an lhd since 1996, but the first plans came up in 2001 when they really requested it.

The LHD 18000 and a few others where the result.
But thanks to a new government and less money available for this plan new LHD designs where called to life.
The LHD 24000 and 30000.
The 24000 is heavier then the 18000, but a more simple, easier, cheaper build then the 18000.

As first they wanted one of the first series like 18000, then came 30000, and then 24000.
I saw there was also and 22000 design but i dont know when this one was (looks like the 24000)

The first series like the 18000 are completely different then the other series like 24-30-22.
The later series has a full vehicle deck from the front to the back.
For the helicopter's, tanks, marine's trucks etc etc.
Thats why this design was cheaper.

The earlier design's has a heli deck and a seperate vehicle deck.

This is the story i gained from a person, plus few other website's/information books added to it.

I prefer the first serie's of design.
Better lookout plus flight ops space in the conning tower.
Better place for the lift in the deck, seperate hangar's is always better (i quess)
She looks cooler.
She looks better researched, and the latest series looks like.
Do whatever you want, make it CHEAP!

Does someone has information about NL LHCD 1 AU ship?It is already in shipbucket,in Alternate Universe.I am looking foward to know,because i am thinking to use it in my AU nation.
