Am I missing something? I was looking at some of the never-built designs and noticed that the Lion Class BB drawing has only 2 forward main armament turrets... I thought the Lion class was planned to have a 3x3 16" arrangement? |

No, you've not missed anything; there were two designs covered; the one with the main guns forwars was a later design, still being worked over postwar, which was a bit of wishful thinking. But Bombhead is you man here as he has done a version of this design

The Lion I drew in never built designs is from this drawing found in Rebuilding the Royal Navy by Brown and Moore,and I believe was the last incarnation of the Lion.I did draw another which was more of a personal design.From what I can see the best drawing is by Hood here. http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?dir=Alternate Universe/Wesworld by Tornado/GB BB Lion 1 WES.gif.Though an AU design it is very close to the 1939 Lion design and would have resembled an enlarged KGV.Lion and Temeraire were actually laid down but no serious work was ever done on them. ![[ img ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0703/catherine.fisher/Untitled.png) ![[ img ]](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0703/catherine.fisher/Thunderer-1.png)

Would the two-turret configuration have been quad-gun turrets or just triple-turrets? |

well what do you know, before i request, was their a kind of what if serise of modifications done to her like all the RN carriers on this forum? |
