it isn't that high, if you compare it with the alkmaar class:

it is only 1/2 deck higher, while the beam is the same and the hull slightly shorter. but I agree, I have seen prettier designs :P

well, most likely it became the Alkmaar class. I have actually no idea, I just had pictures of an model, the name of the shipyard (the yard that build the Alkmaar class), the fact that it's equipment was the same as that of the Alkmaar class and the name, '325CV'. the fact that he hull (apart from the bow and the propulsion system) was almost perfectly alike the Alkmaar made that I drew this with the Alkmaar as base. in overall design it is also similar to this one http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... nveger.png which was of slightly later date.
