For the US or the Forrestal? US was intended to get "12-18 heavy bombers and 54 jet fighters" according to the Osprey book on the Nimitz class.

Well the heavy bomber was the A7 Savage, the primary reason why she was designed.

TACAN + ESM/ECM pods - done
CCA equipment AN/SPS-6 and AN/SPS 8 - done
Meteorological antenna and mast - in progess

Hinged device:

Direction finder - done

others:

AN/SPS-10 radomes - done

Just a nitpick: the Savage wasn't a turboprop, it just had regular piston engines - although it did have a jet engine in the fuselage! I believe it was for extra speed both on take-off and to squeeze a few more knots for a quick getaway.

I'd be willing to guess it was a translation error on the author's part. The A2J Super Savage would've had turboprops as its sole power but it was never developed operationally, the Navy instead going for the pure-jet A3D Skywarrior.
