She's looking good mate. My only (and minor) critique would be still on the bridge wings; on the drawing they are clearly shown as extending further back, which makes sense, as the current wings are too narrow, and if extended to the hatch would offer better shelter :)

Nice work Bombhead. Funny thing, late last year I started on a two-sides view of my version, but life REALLY got in the way. Seeing your thread made me pick it up again.

It was made based on scans out of the D.K.Brown book, and since he actually worked as a designer for the T43, I think it might be the more accurate shape. Can't really beat yours in detailing, though.

Tha actually makes for a most interesting comparision, Miho! Yours is, too, a great rendering! And I guess I have to get those exocet launchers submitted along with the boats. (I'm just glad that even my small contribution of parts find some usage here! :D )

I would love to see a synthesis of the two artists, because both are excellent, but the sum of the two would be sublime. Its my bias, but I prefer Miho's bridge work, with proper wings, and also having the bigger hangar; but then I like what BH has done with his take, taken it to new levels. Aren't we spoiled for talent :D

So, what PB said: Miho, Bombhead get your smart heads together and make that synthesis of the Type 43! I, too, want to see the results; and if ace and I can pull it off with the TRomps, the you can too! 8-) :D ;)

Improved with some input from Bombhead. Also, replaced the Type 992 radar which is (erronously) shown on the Grove drawing with the 967/968 radar as mentioned by Brown. Obvious, really, as it's part of the Seawolf cueing system!
Still needs a proper badge, but we'll get to that.

Now, this isn't quite the collab that everyone was asking for, and we'll probably get to that, but first I really wanted to create a T43 as close to what Brown had in mind as possible. A later version might show a Type 996 radar, a stealth cannon, some jammers and other changes, but this is the ship as Brown had envisioned it. Damn you John Nott.

Also, look at the size of that landing pad, compared to the Lynx! Suddenly, it's HUGE.

I've got the crest for HMS Hood as a WIP if you're interested. Either you can get it as it is and finish your self, or if you like, I can complete it ;)

Very impressive! And what a ship it might have been! And mind you, he is Sir John Nott, KCB now...
