They don't seem to have one. My guess is that either they were so early in the design phase that it would be added later or they had no clue what kind of funnel those diesel engines would require. I think one of the features of early diesel ships was that they had no funnel (see MS Selandia), so maybe the designer thought they didn't need one.

It could be possible that the ship had small exhaust ports on the side of the hull aft of the engine compartment, some what like contemporary diesel electric submarines.

Design I/35
This one was another monitor-type, this time in a flush-deck design. As the name implies, the main artillery calibre was increased to 350mm, the firepower concentrated in a single triple turret mounted at the bow. Additional firepower was provided by two 150mm twin turrets aft and two 88mm flak pieces, this time also in twin mounts. Armor was increased, while speed was reduced.

Technical data:
-length: 126m
-width: 21m
-draft: 7,2m
-speed: 19kn (16000HP, two shafts)
-armor: belt 300mm, deck 30mm
-weapons:
-1x3x350mm main artillery
-2x2x150mm secondary artillery
-2x2x88mm flak
-4x533mm torpedoes (underwater tubes)

Another very nice addition to this thread.
These small monitor-like vessels were certainly interesting designs.

Wouldn't call it a "beautiful ship" but it's certainly a good addition. :)

Some really nice drawings of some very strange designs. Design IV/30 and Design V/30 are probably better designs than the 'pocket battleships.' Remind me very much of a pre-dreadnought Battleship!

Climbing to that upper spotting location looks like quite an adventure. I'll let the next guy do it.
