I hope posts on the "Never-built" designs threads are restricted to REAL plans, projects and uncompleted ships for which plans exist taken from real naval sources. Others belong in 'Personal Designs' and 'Alternate Universes'. HMS Surrey was the last RN Washington Treaty design of cruiser, limited to 10,000 tons standard, and was a very tight design. Des Moines was 17,000tons standard (Needed not only for heavier automatic turrets but also for the extra ammunition to fire more rapidly) USSR Project 66 was around 24,000tons to mount 9x228mm guns.
