Excellent work on this series James. Impeccable drawings, on par with your other works, give life to all those sketches so often seen in books about Rn post war development.
Well done mate!!

I love this design. Very elegant and truly British. May have to request to use this in my AU historical section ;)

Thanks for all the praise guys.

LEUT_East, no problem. I'm more than happy if people want to use these in AU scenarios.

Another very nice thread and the last one makes me want to make more PD ships, if only I had more info on crew and systems to make it semi realistic..

After seeing these I wonder which is more cost effective to built, the St Vincent/Sea Slug or one from the GW series for an AU Britain (and deleting the Tigers)?

Which is the most feasible from GW series?

Awesome drawings! I like the first Majestic conversion Proposal the most.

as for the differences in GW29: the only things really changed would be the machinery, right? that suggests 2 equal funnels for the GW29, and of course smaller air intakes then what the gas turbines would use on the GW26.
is there any data for the speed at 80% and 100% power? trying to calculate the range this would result in :P

and I suppose GW26 and GW29 would both be build to cruiser standards?
