Which double black line on each cannon did you mean?
I have just find two little ones int the aft section of the second deck plan. Have fixed them.

Minor things:
  1. I'm fairly sure the entire bow was closed - IIRC (and I'll re-read the chapter tonight) the flight deck was one of the strength decks, so the hanger would have been completely closed at the bow - no spots were you can see through
  2. A minor detail correction on the views where the towers are retracted: [ img ]

OK, I start to close the bow. Was jsut an enclosed version in the reference drawing.

Now that it looks like you're just about finished up, I'd be interested if knowing a further what-if of United States with a more traditional island and angled flight deck is in the works (as at the very least any sister ships would be highly likely to have been modified to such on the slipways).

You're getting it. Get those bridges and radars on the bottom of the page away and move the Shipbucket signature down to the bottom and it's perfectly ready for upload.
