A great and a lot of work, done by you on the one hand and Zoli / csatahajos on the other hand. Very interesting to study. I even didn't know that there were more design variants as Siegfried Breyer mentioned in his book. For example Breyer doesn't mention the pre-official design variants in his book. I think he had not access to some sources back then which are now available resp. they were not known in the West. Further, I would like to show you a suggestion for a 51-cm-triple turret. As I saw your turrets, immediately a thought came into my mind to change the appearance a little bit. I personally tend to keep the inner edges of a turret more "smooth", but one can endless discuss about. "As one likes it". The turret is not 100% finished. As I said: Just a suggestion, a thought..... https://imgur.com/T8xFXvY |

I like your turret very much, however I was trying to stay true to the Imperial_Japanese_Navy_Gun_mountings Parts Sheet.

Greetings one and all,
Several months ago the good Emperor Andreas (aka Mathew Jones) sent me the following URL, which is well worth your time, about the complex design development for the Yamato-Class Battleships https://warshipprojects.com/2018/04/24 ... beRwLAOa4/ I found Zoltán Takác’s (as well as Alvama’s) drawings too highly stylized for my liking, so I’ve used my equally stylized superstructure instead. So here is my take on the project. I hope you enjoy these drawings. Yamato (A-140) March 10, 1935 Yamato (A-140a) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140a1) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140a2) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140b) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140b1) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140b2) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140c) April 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140d) June 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140g) July 30, 1935 Yamato (A-140g1-a) July 30, 1935 Yamato (A-140g1-d) August 08, 1935 Yamato (A-140g2-a) August 30, 1935 Yamato (A-140k) August 01, 1935 Yamato(A-140k2) August 01, 1935 Yamato (A-140f) July 03, 1935 Yamato (A-140i) July 30, 1935) Yamato (A-140k2) August 01,1935 Yamato (A-140j2) August 30, 1935 Yamato (A-140f3) October 05, 1935 Yamato(A-140f4) October 05, 1935 Yamato(A-140f5) July 20, 1936 Yamato(A-140f6) March 11, 1937 IJN Yamato (1941) IJN Yamato (1945) Super-Yamato-Class (A-150a) 1941-42 Super-Yamato-Class (A-150b) 1941-42 A-140-g1-a and -g2-a look rather similar to IJN Izumo from World of Warships. The WoWS team seems to browse this forum quite a bit -- Tier X IJN heavy cruiser Zao was originally designed here too . |
