It looks like a US Mk-45 Mod-0 to Mod 3, which use a similar style of housing to the Mk-71.

Yea, but still the wish was to have a duel 12cm, even she shows the USN one.

The MK-45 might have been looked at when it became obvous that retaining the old Bofors cannon was not really feasible, and before settling on the Oto cannon.

BTW, finished. Note that the APAR sits at virtually the same height as in the modern ships, it's just the mounting that's different. Apparently the modern mounting was chosen because underneath the APAR facings there is room for an ABM guidance radar. Which proved unneccesary when SMART-L turned out to be so hugely powerful that it could easily function as an ABM radar:

really good, better then I could have done it. noted one little thing though: the harpoon exhausts look to be fitted too high right now.

Nah, they're at exactly same height as on the "real" ships: It's just that you don't have that gantry next to em, AND the railing has been lowered, so you can see the top of the tubes. There's more empty space underneath em, and less above them, so you've got the illusion that they are located higher.

And thanks, It was a lot of work, but worth it. Now to convince Golly to add this one as well in the new upload que...
