what about:

after seeing that video on "youtube" it's look more like it is going straight in to the hull aft on the sensor, almost like someone have been using a knife on it!

Corrections as suggested. Also moved to the current template.

[Image deleted - first image in the thread is now the final version]

Proceeding with the gunned-up version.

And now the 2012 version:

I assumed that the hull is identical. There are a lot of minor changes, and I know that the detail design will be under frequent revision at this point. I'm a little suspicious of some of the electronics shown in the animations, as they may be generic items stuck there by the artist.

Still, there we go.

heh i never noticed that little hatch underneath the aft 30mm sponson. Any plans on doing the 6000 ton variant with the side hangar? Also somthing about the forward mast seems off to me. I cant place a finger on it though.

I'm not sure which design you're referring to, there? There was a short lived big-but-simple design between "Trigger" and the current design.

That design's already been done, IIRC. The big-but simple version hasn't, but I don't have a good side view right now.

is the 127mm confrimed? be interesting to see what gun ends up on them. I suspect at present it'll be recovered 4.5's to keep supply chain simple and save cost.

An early design, shown in CGI and a model, had a 4.5'', but all the later designs have used the Italian 127mm - including the one with what looks like a badly scaled 76mm (wrong model purchased from TurboSquid?).

The thing is that sticking with the 4.5'' only saves money in the short term - i.e. it eases cashflow. Given that the 4.5'' shell seems to be in a developmental dead-end, it is *highly* likely that, over the lifetime of the ships, the 127mm, and it's guided shells, would be adopted. Fitting them up-front would probably be cheaper, but it may come down to cashflow on the day.
