Shipbucket

Hello all, I'm back at you again with another wacky design! This time from the United States comes the NY Shipbuilding battleship proposal from 1907. Like the General Ferrati and Ansaldo proposals, this one has little information as to its backstory and barely information about the ship itself. You can see it here:



Some say it was proposed for Russia, but I have not seen anything confirming this. As such, I opted to finish this ship as if it was to be used by the US Navy. You can see that she has triple turrets, which would be pretty normal for some ships at this time - that is if the guns were not assorted in that two were at the bottom and one was in between them both at the top of the turret. Like the Ferrati design, I would not want to be the guy that has to load the top 12".

Weight: 21,000 tons
Length O.A.: 168.55 m
Beam: 26.21 m
Draft: 8.23 m

Armament:

12 x 12" guns in triple turrets
22 x 4" guns (I have depicted 20 of them, as I am not sure where the extra 2 are based on the diagram)
2 x 21" torpedo tubes

This design would certainly be a unique and interesting one, similar to the Virginia class BBs. Thanks to Karle94 once again for helping with the process!
