In 1940 during the German occupation of Norway the Kriegsmarine took over two merchant ship building at the Moss shipyard. The two ships Rio X and Rio Y were completed as motherships for small 11m mine disposal boats, and were used to clear mines for U-Boats and other warships from the Norwegian coastal waters as well as the Baltic.
MRS-25 was mines and sunk while MRS-26 was completed only in 1944 and was used in 1945 as transport to evacuate troops and civilians fleeing the Russian advance. As such, the ship was attacked by Russian bombers, and on the first attack the ship managed to shoot down two bombers with no damage, but a second attack resulted in the sinking of the ship.

Thank you Colombamike for your input. Some of the things you marked are indeed missing. As you know (probably) my main interest are merchant ships, and this one was the first warship (of a sort) I did for nearly 10 years. I will update my drawing of course.

Mast wires I left alone as my source images showed it to be like that.

You have not lost your touch Novice. I'm still happy to use your ten year old drawings as the basis for many others, including real life ships.

Very nice work Novice.
My only nitpick would be that the support structure beneath the gun tubs could do with some overhang shading.

 You are entirely correct. It should have been done, and I did thought these supports looked too bright :?

BTW you all should check the following link to see how the ship would have looked like if the war didn't interfere.
