I'm sure this class needs no introduction, the first British warship armed with surface-to-air missiles and perhaps the best looking post-war ship the Royal Navy ever built. This has been a real treat to draw and I hope the result reflects the details I've searched out on photos and plans. Here is HMS Kent as built. Here is HMS Norfolk as refitted in the 1970s with Excocet and some structural modifications. |

Excellent! I'd been waiting to see this redone. I don't really care for this screw color - it looks more like baby vomit than bronze, for some reason. I might try to jiggle a few pixels around on the Sea Slug launcher, to avoid the big black blob currently present. And (IMHO) Corvus is mis-shaded. Otherwise they're great drawings of very interesting ships. Much lower and leaner than I remembered. |

I agree with Eric. You could try and use dark grey for the lancher frame rather than black. |

I give you joy sir, and I'll drink a bumper in your honour One of my favourite warships, lovingly rendered. And yes, the screw colour raises a querry? But re the launcher, it is shown with a loded Seaslug, and as such is accurate. The only way to show more of the 'girder' would be to remove the missile, but I would not advocate that. |

Hence why I'd go for an appropriate shade of gray on the girders. |

We do not use grey on free standing surfaces like missile launchers. Please consult the guidlines. |

Well, that's not true. Freestanding gray is common in life-nets, railings, radars... Rendering the inner set of black lines on Sea Slug as a dark gray would solve the problem without using a gray launcher frame. |

I would propably drawn the launcher without missiles inside. The missiles and the rest of the bucket hardly match each others, and good marriages are rare... otherwise outstanding work. |
