Light Cruiser "Yat Sen" , named after the founding father of the Republic of China and completed in 1931, was a light cruiser in the ROC Navy before World War II.

Yat Sen participated in the defense of Kiangyin Fortress, Yangtze River, near Nanking and took over flagship duties after both Ning Hai and Ping Hai were sunk by Japanese aircraft. Yat Sen was sunk as well on 25 September 1937 after shooting down two of the 16 attacking aircraft, losing 14 of its crew.

She was later salvaged by the Japanese and enter the Imperial Japanese navy as Atada (阿多田). she was return to Republic of China Navy and served in the Civil war and later in defence of Taiwan. She was decommissioned in 1958.

A nice drawing of a lesser-known ship.
Probably more of a large gunboat than a cruiser in reality, but an interesting design nevertheless.

As already pointed out by Hood, it's a very light cruiser, but a great drawing anyway. :)

I feel so embarrassed for not using the Mandarin pronunciation ("Yi Xian") when creating the English Wikipedia page.

*Banging head*

Nice work on the ship.
