may I suggest you stop on this ship, and select an easier one... sailing ships are extremely hard, and only the best in here have good results on them. also, it looks like your reference isn't an exact sideview, which isn't correct. I think it is an beatifull ship, and I suggest you return to her later, but I think it is a bit too much when you are new.

Yeah, first of all, there are like zero good references on this particular ship. Second of all, what you are using currently certainly does not count as a suitable reference.

I'd at the very least would look through any referenced links in the Wikipedia article as a good start, or use the resources here at the forum for help.

It is a quite famous ship and it is considered the first "ghost ship": it was found without crew and passengers close to Gibraltar.
Also the painting is quite famous and gives the proportions of a typical "merchant brig".
As said Acelanceloet it would be a quite challenging start but as said Mohamad Alì "Impossible is Nothing!".

You could probably look up the length on wikipedia and then convert it to SB scale, but it is still not a very credible source.

Well, if you've added to it, then post it.

Pay attention to the scale. The Mary Celeste was only 31 m: a very small brig!

It should be around 200pixels long, then.
