A French class of destroyers that were built in the 1950's, the last one was completed to a much modified design, and in fact was a test bed for new equipment.
The La Galissonniere, also known as T-56 type was unique, and was in fact the first destroyer in French naval service to carry a helicopter, and for that a folding hangar was provided, and when the wall were folded down they became part of the landing area.

The helicopter is SA-3150 a modified Alouette III with floats, a small search radar amd MAD on the port-side and one anti-submarine torpedo on the starboard side. Later helicopters had wheels

A nice drawing of an even nicer ship. Nice to see my parts being put to use.
However, you've used the wrong version of the malafon. Paul modified it and made it loo much nicer.
It's a bit hard to see on the pictures I've found of the La Galissonniere, but all the other ship that had the modelé 63 had a ladder running up the front and two protrusions on the back.

Looks pretty cool, there has always been something attractive about these ships, maybe its that intangible 1950s mix of old and new?
Anyway, good work shipmate (notwithstanding the Malafon issue).

Yes, very impressive, and good to see the French types gradually being done :D

I looked up the ship to get a feel for how the hanger roof worked, and I do say, very interesting and a very nice drawing.

Malafon is from your Aconit, so can you point where I can find the correct one?
The guns are modele 53, so I'm not quite sure what you mean.
All in all thank for your comments

Sorry, I got the model number wrong. The Modelé 53 had steps build into the front of the shield.
This is the latest version of the Malafon. The one I used before looked like a blue banana.

The guns you drew are modele 68, as modele 53 had two control cabins, on each side, while the modele 68 had only one, on the left side. Later models had none.
BTW when saving the Malagon it has a black background when using MS-Paint (which I use)

Ah, sorry about that.
Anyway, the Malafon should be on the last edition of the Aconit that I posted.

I used that Malafon, just turned it around, and re-colored to a darker shade.
The steps in front of the guns are buried in the railings.
